You know what we like? Beer. For the past three years, we have worked with professional brewers to make a custom beer that we get to share with our friends and clients. This year we worked with Don Webb, the fantastic brewmaster at Naked City Brewing and Taphouse in Seattle. We had some ideas of what we wanted and then we got out of the way and let the pro do his job. And this year's beer, Bindlestiff Winter Ale, is some malty and hoppy goodness.

Thanks to James Webber for the great video and to Brady Anderson for another great label.

Actually no, we're not astrophysicists. But Loaded producer Chris Borden is married to one. And in the world of astronomy, she's kind of a rock star. She's running a massive digital sky survey with the Hubble Space Telescope. The project is called the Panchromatic Hubble Andromeda Treasury (better known as PHAT). One of its many objectives is to classify the millions of stars in the Andromeda galaxy (also known as the "default desktop image of Apple OSX Lion"). To do this, she and her collaborators created a fantastic crowdsourcing website that lets anyone lend their observational skills to this endeavor. In the past five days, over half a million images of the galaxy have been classified by ordinary people who visited The Andromeda Project site. If you haven't tried it, we strongly suggest you get in touch with you inner-astro geek and hunt for stars, stellar clusters, and distant galaxies. And while you're in this astro mindset, check out the animated logo featuring the Whirlpool galaxy that Loaded made for our friends at the Haus der Astronomie in Heidelberg, Germany.

We're exposing ourselves in this Behind the Scenes video of our recent work for Naked City Brewery.

This short video highlights the production process used by Brady Anderson to create our recent bumper for local brewery Naked City. After storyboarding his concept, Brady, Matt, and Jonathan shot the live action reference in an alley in downtown Seattle. Brady used the resulting footage to make a lighting reference from which he illustrated the final frames by hand.

Note: sometimes Brady swears. He's working on it.
